COCONUT MILK - SUPERFOOD

WHY COCONUT MILK?

Firstly its safe for the lactose intolerant. Secondly its much safe than the normal milk from cows or buffaloes that are fed the GM grains these days (grass fed is OK, but hard to really know if that happens). So coconut milk comes out safest.

We then have the most fulfilling benefits for our health. Coconut milk has good fatty acids that help lower cholesterol and prevents heart disease and keep the blood pressure low. Coconut milk helps in losing weight and builds muscles as well. It has to be taken in moderation at a time as it has calories. So a half cup at a time is good idea. It provides the important electrolytes and prevents fatigue which we require everyday. It has very important combination of magnesium, copper, phosphorus, iron , calcium, protein, vitamin c,e, b1 ,b3, b6 and bundle of fibre. Coconut milk is ideal for treating stomach problems like constipation and IBS (lot if people suffer these days). It also helps in curing inflammation in body and joints. Coconut milk helps in preventing ulcers. People suffering from anemia can benefit from this plant based milk (rejoice for vegan lovers). It's very helpful to keep  healthy skin.

HOW TO MAKE THE COCONUT MILK?

Well its not difficult at all. All you need is a fresh coconut. Open the coconut and get it out of the coconut shelf. Grate the coconut and put it in a blender. Add 1 and half cup of water to it, preferable warm. Blend it for a few seconds and keep the lid pressed during that time. Now take it out and push the content through muslin or cheesecloth lined sieve. Use the thick milk into a glass jar for storage in the fridge or use it straight fresh.

BEST TO USE:

Use it in a few days when in sealed jar in fridge.
